Over 1,000 sign Lockerbie petition

[This is the headline over a Press Association news agency report just published on the website of the Selkirk Weekend Advertiser. It reads in part:]

More than 1,200 people have backed an independent inquiry into the conviction of the Lockerbie bomber, campaigners have revealed.

A petition was lodged at the Scottish Parliament urging ministers to look again at the 2001 trial, which saw Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi become the only man to be found guilty of the 1988 terror attack.

One year after the Libyan's release on compassionate grounds, campaigners launched the new attempt to secure an inquiry, attracting 1,245 signatories in 10 days.

The appeal is being led by pressure group Justice For Megrahi, which involves Dr Jim Swire, whose daughter Flora was killed in the Pan Am bombing.

He said the case has been "corrosive and deeply damaging" to the Scottish justice system and called on the Government to open an inquiry.

Mr Swire added: "Only in such a manner can Scotland demonstrate that it is making a sincere attempt to resolve this highly contentious issue."

Professor Robert Black QC, who has been described as the "architect" of the Kamp van Zeist trial, also leant his name to the campaign. He has hit out on the "weak" quality of evidence which placed Megrahi in Malta, linking him to the bombing later over Scotland.

Prof Black said: "I have always contended that no reasonable tribunal could have convicted Megrahi on the evidence led."

The petition, lodged on October 8, can be accessed through the Scottish Parliament's website and closes on Thursday next week.

  1. MISSION LOCKERBIE:

In August 2009 Mr. Abdelbaset Al Megrahi dropped his succes promising appeal. WHY ? Answer to find in the silence of the desert...
A week later the Scottish Cabinet Secretary for Justice Kenneth MacAskill decided to free Mr. Al Megrahi on compassionate grounds.

Who profited until today from this condition?

The Scottish and American investigators, like Senior Investigating Officer Stuart Henderson (SIO), Lord Peter Fraser, Jim Gilchrist, Dr. Thomas Hayes (RARDE) Allen Feraday (RARDE) and FBI Special Agent Richard Marquise, FBI-expert Tom Thurman and other officials (today also known, Gaddafi,s opponents four (4) elements of "Mission Amsterdam") belive they will therfore never have to testify in front of a Justice on the whereabouts of the main evidence in the Lockerbie case...

Now it is the opportunity for changed this condition ! Please they sign public petition "Justice for Megrahi" for independent inquiry to get at the truth of the bombing of Pan Am flight 103.
Some of the Scottish Officials are the true criminals in the Lockerbie Affair, are responsible for manipulating evidence and are still protected by the Scottish Justice ! (They are not involved in the PanAm 103 bombing, but jointly responsibly for the conspiracy against Libya).

Mr Megrahi, alias "Ahmed Khalifa Abdusamad", Libya, AirMalta Flug KM-180 and the MEBO-Timerfragment MST-13 (PT/35) have nothing to do with the PanAm 103 attack !

Notices the words from ex FBI Task Force chief Richard Marquise for those it applies: If someone manipulated evidence, if somebody didn't invesitgate something that should have been investigated, if somebody twisted it to fit up up Megrahi, or Fimah or Libya, then that person will go to jail. I mean that sincerely, that person should be prosecuted for that!
